no but i saw that john winchester list of “facts” on my dash again today and I just lost my shit… i am far too tired to deal with tumblr I guess, hahaha.
I have seen it at least 3 times, but I HAVEN’t reblogged it to argue bc I WAS TRYING TO BE NICE butals;kjdf;lkasdj AGAIN
Have you ever read the journal yet? If you ever get the chance, you really should, because all it does is make John even more unlikable and downright creepy. It’s great material to shoot back at John-apologists if they use examples from the journal as ‘proof’.
Is this real life, or is it John Winchester.
They included subplots like demons following them re: Sam, but that doesn’t particularly help make him any more sympathetic, especially when he’s still just an asshole all around.
Other wonderful gems:
"I tried to raise [Dean] right, and looks like I did. He’s a scam artist, a ladie’s man, and an absolutely loyal son… I’ve spent the last sixteen years afraid that I was going to screw him up somehow. Maybe now I can forget about that."
"[Sam] doesn’t know what his role is, even though I can tell him until I’m blue in the face and we’re both ready to kill each other."
"I’m the kind of father I have to be. I’m the kind of father who teaches his boys that no man or monster can kill their mother and get away with it. I’m the kind of father who shows them that when it comes to family, you go to the ends of the earth to put things right."
"Dean turns eleven today. He asked for his own gun, and I got him one. A Seecamp LWS .32 automatic, the smallest gun I could find that offered any kind of stopping power. Dean and I poured silver slugs for it ourselves, and we loaded it with alternating silver and Winchester hollow-points. He’s got it in his pocket now."
"Sammy is seven today. I think we’re going to get him through the first grade this year. He’s a smart little kid, but we’ve moved around so much that he’s a little behind in school… I need to be better about reading to him — stuff other than field manuals and weird newspaper headlines… I’d ask Dean to do it, but there’s only so much you can pile on a kid. Having Sammy’s life in his hands is enough for Dean; he can’t be responsible for home-schooling Sammy too. God. This is one more time I’m reminded how much I miss Mary."
